You may have heard of the guy who nearly died of renal failure after he was unable to get through the thick vegetation and ran out of water sitting next to the Coxs River on a hot day. He is an extremely experienced, confident and competent bushwalker and didn’t normally carry a PLB but his wife urged him to get one for his attempt at the Kanangra to Katoomba walk.
